Be open and willing to accept a word in due season from ANY source, especially one close to you. Husbands, honor your wives by listening very closely to their advice and concerns. Wisdom is found in a multitude of counsel. And your wife is your #1 advisor. She is on your side, and has your best interests at heart.
The two shall become one flesh. That’s husband and wife. One flesh. One body. One purpose. One calling. It only makes sense that God would speak to the wife so that she may give counsel and warning to her husband. If the husband were to go without this, he’d more likely fall into the trap of arrogance and dictatorship. I think God established the relationship in such a way that the husband must keep his heart and ear open toward his wife in order to maintain a balanced approach to life and planning.
It’s not a matter of if, but when. When God sends your wife as the messenger, will you hear him?
