Healing the Sick and Brokenhearted

I heard a guy speak who prays for people to be healed everywhere he goes. At the bus stop, in the restaurant, at the mall. If he sees anyone with an obvious malady, he asks them what’s wrong and offers to pray for them. Sometimes, he gets a word of knowledge about a non-obvious disease or ailment and asks the stranger if that means anything to them. He has seen tons of people healed just by doing this.

Granted, not everyone is healed. Sometimes the ailment he thought he heard is inaccurate. But he continues to pray for people, knowing that God will heal some. He’s seen cancers healed, backs healed, blood issues healed, and all kinds of pain and discomfort removed.

He’s no one special. He’s just a guy that is humble enough to ask people if he can pray for them. I am deeply inspired by his story. I feel compelled to pray for my neighbor now. He has cancer. I’ve never spoken to him, but I know he has been diagnosed. So now comes the awkward choice to break the four year silence and ask if I can lay hands on him and pray for him. Stay tuned.
