As many of you will identify, our baby girl went through two days of near nonstop sleeping, to be followed by two days of near nonstop crying. We’ve all heard the phrase, “fight or flight” regarding a person’s instinctual response to crisis. In the workplace, I find the same opportunity of choice, only fight and flight are not always the best options to choose from.

I’ve been an employee at the new job for a few months now. I can’t say that I’ve fit in perfectly. As a matter of fact, I’ve been shocked almost daily by how odd it is that I don’t just fit right in. This isn’t entirely my fault, of course. When I arrived, I was given the spiel on what this company is all about. Then I observed the individual employees.
